Terms of Service

Payee Watch is a software tool that helps Representative Payees of SSI/SSDI beneficiaries record and account for how the beneficiary's federal benefits are spent. The Service provides expense tracking, budgeting, watcher transparency views, and downloadable annual accounting reports intended as supporting documentation for Form SSA-6234.

Payee Watch is not affiliated with the Social Security Administration. We do not represent, endorse, or replace the SSA or any government agency. Filing the official Representative Payee Report with the SSA remains solely your responsibility.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at CareCompassForYou@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You represent that any information you enter about a beneficiary — including their name, monthly benefit amount, expenses, receipts, and watcher relationships — is either yours to share or shared with the beneficiary's informed consent, and that you have authority to manage their funds as their appointed Representative Payee, guardian, or otherwise.

The Service offers the following paid features:

• SSA Annual Payee Report — $9.99 per year, one-time
• 3-Year Report Bundle — $19.99, one-time
• Priority Filing add-on — $9.99, one-time
• Family Plus — $6.99 per month, recurring subscription
• Case Manager — $19.99 per seat per month, recurring subscription

All fees are in U.S. dollars and are charged through our payment processor, Stripe. Subscriptions automatically renew each month until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from within the app or by emailing CareCompassForYou@gmail.com; access continues through the end of the paid billing period. We do not prorate partial months.

One-time report purchases (single-year, bundle, priority filing) are refundable within 7 days of purchase if the report was not downloaded, or if the report contains material errors caused by our software. Contact CareCompassForYou@gmail.com with your account email and order ID.

Subscription fees are non-refundable for the current billing period but you can cancel anytime to prevent future charges. If we materially reduce or remove a feature you are actively using, we will offer a pro-rata refund on request.

You agree not to:

• Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent expense records or receipts;
• Use the Service to file fraudulent reports with the SSA or any other agency;
• Impersonate a Representative Payee for a beneficiary you have no authority to manage;
• Share your account credentials or invite links with anyone other than the intended watcher;
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to circumvent security controls;
• Use the Service in violation of any applicable law, including 42 U.S.C. § 405 and related SSA regulations governing Representative Payees.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without refund.

The PDF reports generated by Payee Watch are compiled directly from the data you enter or import. You are responsible for reviewing every report for accuracy before submitting it to the SSA or any third party. Payee Watch does not audit, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of your entries.

Payee Watch software, design, and branding are our property. You retain full ownership of the data you enter (expenses, receipts, notes, etc.) and can export or delete it at any time by contacting CareCompassForYou@gmail.com.

We use trusted third-party services to operate the app. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their portion of the service:

• Google — sign-in authentication
• Stripe — payment processing (card data is handled by Stripe, never by us)
• MongoDB Atlas / Emergent — hosted database and infrastructure

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. Payee Watch is a record-keeping tool, not legal, tax, or financial advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) $100. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or reputational harm.

You may delete your account at any time by emailing CareCompassForYou@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or if required by law. Upon termination, your data is deleted within 30 days unless we are legally required to retain it.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to your account email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where our registered address is located, without regard to conflicts-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
